I first interviewed for this position in the Spring. After 2 rounds of interviews over the phone and 5 rounds of interviews in person, though all positive interviewing experiences from my perspective, I never received a response indicating whether I received an offer or not. After following up 1 week later and again 3 weeks later after the in-person interviews, I still never received a response. After 7 months, the hiring manager reached out to invite me back for another 4 rounds of interviews in-person and indicated they would provide a response the following week. The interviews were again, positive from my perspective. However, after following up twice the following week for an update, there was still no response from the hiring manager. At this point, I haven't spoken to HR since 7 months ago either, so I had no one else to reach out to for an update. In summary, 8 months and 11 rounds of interviews later, I still never received a response with whether they wanted to extend me an offer or not. All I was looking for was a response, one way or the other. The unresponsiveness was unprofessional and was a negative reflection on the company's hiring process and treatment of potential employees. I am still without a response from the hiring manager, but I have decided to go a different direction.
