We are currently expanding our Sports AI team and are seeking individuals with strong sports knowledge to help train AI systems through video analysis and annotation.

Position Overview

As a Sports Action Recognition Reviewer, you will analyze sports video content and identify fine-grained player actions, tactical movements, game events, and sport-specific techniques.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of sports, including athletes, coaches, referees, analysts, sports journalists, scouts, and dedicated sports enthusiasts.

The work requires attention to detail, the ability to accurately identify actions and events, and comfort working with video-based tasks.

Responsibilities

Sports Identification

• Identify the sport being played within video content

• Classify videos according to predefined sports categories

Action Recognition

• Identify player actions, techniques, and tactical movements

• Recognize sport-specific plays and game situations

• Apply predefined sports taxonomies and guidelines

Video Analysis

• Review video content and document observations

• Record accurate timestamps for identified actions

• Maintain consistency across annotation tasks

Quality Compliance

• Follow project guidelines and instructions

• Meet quality and accuracy expectations

• Participate in calibration and quality review activities when required

Priority Sports

Candidates should have strong knowledge in one or more of the following sports:

• Basketball

• Soccer

• American Football

• Baseball

• Softball

• Volleyball

• Tennis

Additional sports expertise is welcome.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of at least one competitive sport

• Ability to recognize player actions and game situations

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong written English comprehension

• Reliable internet connection

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Former or current athlete

• Coach

• Referee or umpire

• Sports analyst

• Sports journalist

• Scout

• Sports content creator

• Experience reviewing sports footage

• Experience with AI data annotation, data labeling, QA, or related work

Selection Process

Due to the specialized nature of this project, selected candidates may be invited to complete one or more of the following:

• Sports expertise questionnaire

• Sports action recognition assessment

• Video annotation exercise

• Quality and accuracy evaluation

• Project-specific qualification tests
