Planning to take time off working and would love to hear from those of you who have taken a career break while your children were young. What was your experience returning to work after? Did any of you peruse new career paths or find alternative options that helped you feel more present at home yet fulfilled work-wise?
Do you WFH and look after your baby at home? I’m about to have my first baby and I’m anxious about returning after mat leave. Do you have a nanny, or use daycare? I would love to keep baby at home but I’m not sure if my employer would be upset
Ladies…any recommendations for one-piece swimsuits with full bottom coverage…about to go on a long family beach trip. 😬🫤
My son lovesss the garbage man, who's the sweetest guy ever. He passes out candy to kids, and even brought toys/ candy for Christmas. When we stopped seeing him on trash day for a few weeks we got worried and asked the current guy, who explained that he was in a car accident and is okay, but having wrist problems with driving the truck. We want to build him a get well or welcome back gift basket, but I have no idea what to put in it for this older man. Please give me some ideas!
Wondering if it’s time to put in my two weeks and embark on this SAHM journey. It’s been a long time coming and my husband is aligned. With summer around the corner I really want to be present with my kids this break. Bonus has been the lowest I received in the last 5 years… my overall compensation has been decreasing over the last 3 years. I really like the leaders I work with and am about to kick off a new project but my morale is at the lowest it’s ever been. Any thoughts? 💭
Because companies offer what they need to in order to be competitive in a specific market. It’s inherently not fair if you’re doing the same role, but it’s true with paid time off, leaves, benefits, salaries, etc. For what it’s worth, your salary will probably be significantly greater being US based.
It was more of a rhetorical question. But thank you for answering
