I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at ABB (Tallinn) in Jan 2014
Interview
A regular interview. I was asked about my skills and past working experience, my hobbies and educational background, salary expectations, prefered way of communication, am I ready for working abroad etc. I was told about benefits and skills required for the position, possible salary. The interviewers were friendly and not agressive.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ABB (Bengaluru) in Jan 2011
Interview
The process started with HR contact me after I applied through University. Followed by a technical writing assessment. It was a screening process. Then, final interviews at Bangalore. Met HR contact, hiring manager and team. There was a panel interview-Mix of Technical and behavioral questions. Panel was very friendly. Questions were easy
Interview process was positive, there were some signs I may have miss read. As for the hiring process, mine and others have been riddled with slow(1-2 month) processing of starting you as a new employee. Meaning basic things you need to do your job won't be completed so you'll be walking on egg shells for a while. Then there's the matter of reimbursement. It is possible you may have a good experience with ABB however, I had a horror story and others have too. Things not being moved, things damaged, not being reimbursed, several month wait for payback, high expenses un accounted for.
