I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Accenture (Bengaluru) in Jan 2012
Interview
Mine was on campus interview. I am from one of the top collages in karnataka. So the interview process cant be generalized across. There was three stages. first step is to clear written test mostly aptitude and english. It was kinda difficult only 10% could clear the test. This step was skipped for those who had good gpa. Next two rounds of interview was not so difficult.

Question 1
First round of interview was technical, Since I am from Mechanical engineering. They were asking some basic C and C++ concepts. I was really good at it as i am personally good in programming.
On campus drive where students were selected at random. So it was based on luck totally. 3 rounds one aptitude one hr one technical. Difficulty was medium so basically it was overally a good experience. Nothing so hard to prepare if you are already have decent grade and an average student it would be over par.
The interview experience was very smooth and positive. The interviewer was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the conversation. The coding questions were interesting and enjoyable to solve, and the overall process was well-structured. It was a great interview experience, and I really appreciate the opportunity.
