I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aerotek (Kirkland, WA) in Aug 2010
Interview
I submitted a resume online and then was contacted by someone in HR about a week later. The person was polite and professional and got me scheduled for a phone screen with someone higher up the chain. I did great over the phone and was asked to come in for an in-person interview. Having come directly from a military and security background, I struggled to find answers to the business specific questions but did well when asked about leadership experiences, team building etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer asked about my "over the phone" sales skills and comfort level with soliciting business via the telephone. She explained that the outbound calls would be sourced from a very strategic database, but at that point the job sounded a bit like telemarketing. I didn't really have any experience with that and was unsure of how I would "sell" a prospective employee to an employer.
The interview process was quick. Lasting around 15 minutes. There are several interviews that you will go through. They will do an initial interview with the director. Then you will get scheduled for a follow up. This is where you meet the other recruiters and account managers. They will walk you around the office and have you shadow some of the recruiters.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What motivates you?
What’s your “why”?
Are you a go-getter?
Average difficulty covering standard interview questions. Phone screen followed by an in-person interview. Phone screen was received quickly after resume submission; in-person was with their head recruiter and then followed by one with their manager.
Phone screening call with the recruiter giving me information about the job, then another virtual call interview more in depth to ask me more questions. The final interview is in person in their office.
