I applied online. I interviewed at Aerotek (Houston, TX) in Jan 2021
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn, Was contacted immediately by a Corporate internal recruiter. Because of the holidays, about a month went by before setting up an initial phone conversation. 1st call- with recruiter, went over resume, basic information. 2nd call- same recruiter, set up a time for an interview with Director of Market Operations. 3rd interview- with Director through Webex video, very very friendly, initially said to "shake the nerves, just wanted to get to know the most authentic me, not to answer with perfect cookie cutter answers", asked A TON of behavioral/tell me a time when questions. Unfortunately for me another candidate was given an offer, but it truly was a pleasure to get to know this company and connect with my recruiter. Will be circling back in the future for any openings!

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Aerotek (New York, NY) in Dec 2020
Interview
I was referred to a recruiter from a contact of mine and they emailed to set up an initial chat. It was a quick 10-15 thing where they just asked why I was interested, what I look for in a work place, how I think past jobs have prepared me for this environment. They emphasized you really have to be okay with a somewhat competitive environment where people will know how you’re doing because you’re expected to hit certain metrics and you will constantly be reviewed on them. This made me a bit weary but I kind of already knew that. A formal interview is set up for the following week. The interviewers were very nice, made it super conversational, made me feel very relaxed, even complimented me on how well-spoken I was. The interview was just over an hour (virtual format) and they said they’d follow up in 48 hours. The recruiter followed up the next day to see how it went, I shared that I really enjoyed the conversation but there were a couple (valid) concerns I had about the fit including some concerns from here (ie. work/life balance). They brushed these concerns off and said people writing these reviews were all disgruntled people who basically couldn’t handle the hustle required of the job. That rubbed me the wrong way for sure but I kept it professional and still open to the position. I said I was open to a shadow day if they offered because that would help me really get a feel for fit. They followed up via email a day later saying they were going with other people instead. I think they made the right choice, I felt it wasn’t a good fit and even though the interview went great I ultimately didn’t see myself working there.
