I applied online. I interviewed at Airbnb (Hong Kong) in Jan 2023
Interview
Started from behavioral questions about past experience. The interviewerer is nice and easy going. Then we talked about a few Leetcode-medium level questions. Overall it's ok. I thought I should have an offer.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Airbnb
Interview
Very lengthy process including 3 almost identical coding screens using Hackerrank. I got to the final round, and had 4 panel interviews scheduled, but after the first 2 I was emailed and told that due to an overabundance of candidates, they would be cancelling all future interviews. I was given zero feedback on the many interviews I already completed, and am left wondering what might have happened had my recruiter scheduled my interviews quicker (waited several weeks for availability). Overall it was handled really unprofessionally.

Question 1
Pretty standard coding questions, equivalent to LC medium/hard. I didn't always arrive at the final answer and was still put through to the next round, so it seems they care more about thinking process.
My experience interviewing with the recruiter was troubling. The interviewer asked me questions that seemed to require disclosing confidential information from my current company, which would violate my NDA.
Secondly, I found the interviewer's demeanor to be argumentative and confrontational. They interrupted me several times throughout the conversation, which made it challenging to effectively communicate my skills and tell my story.
Lastly, despite my extensive experience which exceeds the requirements for the position, I felt as though the interviewer was focused on doubting my qualifications and ability rather than assessing my fit for the role.
I hope you can take this feedback into consideration and make improvements to your engineering interview process and ensure you are not forcing candidates to reveal proprietary information or statistics.
