I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Amazon (Bengaluru) in Jul 2017
Interview
the test was quite difficult to crack, if you are not thorough with the concepts of DSA or any other programming language. you must prepare for the proper codes to crack it through
I was reached out by a coordinator. Scheduled an HR screen the same week. The recruiter called in 15 minutes late. I was shocked when it comes to the salary expectation part. The recruiter aggressively negotiate down my expectation, and told me he won't move forward if I don't accept it. It seem that instead of being motivated by bringing in more qualified candidates, he is motivated to bring in the cheapest ones. I'm so shocked that the Amazon principles of frugality - cut unnecessary expense - is applied to its employee as well.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Passed the phone interview and got the onsite one . it was really a surprise that for a technical position , the 5 hours onsite interviews were focused mainly on behavior questions and project management . Looks like Amazon does not really care the technical background and level .
