I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Oct 2014
Interview
I was invited to hining event in Bucharest after very easy online test. It was 2 task in onlite test, and no interviewers at all.
There was 4 interviews for 45 minuts in Bucharest. 2 for design and background, 2 for algorithms. Nobody ask "why amazon" : )
Organization was not very good, the venue was not clearly stated - several people including me was late for first interview because we waited in wrong place.
That moment when the interviewer asked about finding indices in an array for a target sum was wild — I had just tackled something identical while prepping on PracHub. The interview included a technical round with another question about designing an in-memory LRU cache and a behavioral question about meeting tight deadlines. After a smooth discussion, I was told I'd received an offer, which I happily accepted. Overall, the process felt pretty straightforward and not overly challenging.
