I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Amsterdã) in Apr 2022
Interview
The CV and phone screening phases went fast, but then it took them a month and a half to give me the loop interview.
The loop interview was shyse, 5 hours consecutively with 1 hour break in the middle.
The algorithm questions were fine, but the system design were vague (which they are on purpose) but even when you ask them on some key ideas to clarify, they give vague answers, as if they don't know themselves the requirements.
Didn't get an offer and got 0 feedback from the interviewers on what I could improve, even though I thought I answered everything correctly as the interviewers looked satisfied with my answers.
After some consideration, I'd advise anyone against seriously considering amazon as a work place, both because of the interview process, and because of the actual toxic work there as I've heard from many people.

Interview
Started off with behavioral questions such as conflict resolution and hobbies. Then one technical question about making an efficient money system. Basically given a set dollar amount, what’s the best way to convert that number into a certain amount of coins and dollar bills efficiently.

First Screening call, then initial interview with an engineer (1 hour) and then final interview with four 1 hour rounds back to back with different engineers. For each round its the same, you'll be asked one behavioral question and one coding (LC style) question.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Sydney) in Apr 2026
Interview
Had OA, was ridiculously simple. 2 rounds of technical interviews, small amount of behavioural questions at the beginning, they go quite in depth surrounding what you say, so ensure you're good with follow ups about the real impact. Leetcode easy or a very easy medium
