Interview
I was excited to interview at Amazon, but the process ended up being disappointing. I spent a lot of time preparing and went through 4 interviews. However, in the final minutes, the hiring manager suddenly questioned my skills in areas we hadn’t talked about before. This caught me off guard and I didn’t get the chance to show what I can really do. The whole process felt confusing and unfair, leaving me feeling frustrated and let down.

1. Tell me about a time when you observed a colleague in difficulty and what actions you took to assist them. 2. Tell me about a time when you applied data to resolve a complex challenge. 3. Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with a superior and how you addressed the situation. 4. Tell me about a time when you had to make sacrifices to adhere to a tight deadline. 5. Tell me about a time when you took a calculated risk and what the outcome was. 6. Tell me about a time when you successfully influenced someone to reconsider their approach to a problem or project. 7. Tell me about a time when you identified a larger issue within a project and decided to expand the scope to address it. 8. Tell me about a time when you found yourself working outside your comfort zone and how you handled it.
First I passed the assessment its not an easy one, next step is phone screen 1 hour interview, my recruiter shared helpful information; connect 12 LP's to your work examples using a STAR method, 2-3 examples per LP.
Process was relatively straight forward, I didn’t make it to the loop. What I can tell you is the recruiter will be overly excited about you as they are with all candidates. They’ll tell you, you can expect to hear back in two days for feedback. Truth is, if they reject you then you will not hear back within 2 days it will be more like a week. Silence means you aren’t getting the job, they’re very binary.

Good interview, reached the marathon loop of interviews. It was intense and quite focused on STAR stories obviously. Got some nice feedbacks as well to improve in case I managed to get another interview in a few months
