I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2024
Interview
Straightforward and exactly what I expected. The interviewer was nice, focused on the leadership principles, and gave me a chance to ask questions. I knew I was under qualified for the role, but it was productive to discuss what the mission of the team was.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Berlim)
Interview
I was initially contacted by recruiter after a referral.
The recruiter was very helpful and guided me throughout the complete interview and hiring process. He frequently shared updates on the status and provided useful tips for the upcoming interview.
The first interview was a phone screen with the hiring manager. He asked a few behavioral questions focusing on past experiences.
There as also a technical discussion with a lead scientist via phone as I was applying for a highly technical role.
The main interview (The Loop) consisted of five interviews with different managers and peers. Each asked behavioral questions on 2 of Amazon leadership principles.
I strongly recommend to prepare these well and use the STAR framework for answering.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in May 2024
Interview
Started with recruiter phone screen, then spoke with a peer, then did final rounds which consisted of 5 1-hour interviews (included hiring manager). There was also a writing assessment which I submitted although I never actuall discussed during the interview. One of the interviews was "raising the bar" although I coudln't tell which one that was.
