I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2021
Interview
This was for a position in AWS.
Step 1: Informal conversation with the HM. Then an interview with the HM.
Step 2: Writing exercise. There were two questions. I could see the questions and then decide which one to pick. Limit of about 8.5k characters.
Step 3: This was followed by a tech screen. Asked me a design question and other management experience.
Step 4: 5 virtual loop interviews. 1) System Design 2) TPM Core 3) Roadmap Management 4) Operational Excellence (with two leaders, think they were bar raisers) 5) HM focused on people management and systems design.
Step 5: Got another call for a closing loop interview. This was my 9th interview including the informal conversation and excluding the writing exercise. Seemed to be focused on spinning up new teams. This guy wouldn't let me speak and kept interrupting.
Got a call later that they didn't want to move forward. Overall, a decent interview process and an ok experience other than the last interview. I also thought there were too many interviews in the loop compared to the industry standard. Anyway, I can only share so much because of the NDA signed. I'll add some management questions.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Amazon in Jun 2021
Interview
1st round was on design.
Not sure what did the interviewer expect. There was no discussion on infrastructure constraints and expected best possible solution on first attempt. Then no further rounds.
Amazon has a very specific and well-defined interview process. You can google it and find a myriad of information about it. There are plenty of youtube videos that cover this process as well.
