Hmm simple things like. What are important things when developing a new api? Ask about the o wasp vulnerabilities
‘You are on call and are told “the website is slow”. How would you diagnose? (Logs, networks, scaling, monitoring, etc)
Ask them to describe the latest thing they worked on and diagram it out/explain it. They should be able to ;). As they go it might lead to more questions (‘what does this part do)

Smooth process with quick replies on queries. Interviewer was also nice and understandable. Help was given when asked. First interview with a Senior, it was a question and answer format of some computer science topics.
