Online coding test. Then video interview. Then "Discovery Day", consisting of hackathon-style group assessment and non-technical interview with 2 Amex employees at the Amex Stadium. We were supplied with a very nice meal the night before and accommodation for that night. Very pleasant experience.

Interview
Applied for new grad/entry level position. There were a total of 3 interviews. The first is the technical interview, which was an online. The interviewer goes through a laundry list of questions for an hour. There is no whiteboarding or technical algorithm design questions, mostly just OOP questions. If you pass this, there are no more technical questions and you get invited to their Superday (with ~25 other students), where the 2nd and 3rd interviews are held. One interview will be behavioral and the other will be 3-4 questions consisting of brain teasers & system of equation problems.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2018
Interview
It was a two-step process. The first was a video interview with a coding portion. He asked me mostly questions about Java, then went through some other languages on my resume. The second interview is their super day. There were 26 of us, and about 15 were gonna get offers. The interview portion was only one hour, two 30-minute interviews back-to-back. They were mostly behavioral, then we got a tour of the campus, got lunch, had a networking session, then got to speak to a panel.
