I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Andersen Lab in May 2025
Interview
I was interviewed for a traineeship program in Andersen. The whole process took multiple stages: an AI interview to test candidate’s English skills, a personality test, an attention test, and an online interview with a person. Two weeks after the interview, I was told that I had "successfully passed the selection process" and that the information about the course would be shared a little bit later. However, the company was forced to postpone the start of the program, so they asked if I could wait. I agreed. A month passed and suddenly I was told that I was not suitable for the position, since there were candidates with better English skills, although I took an IELTS test a few months prior and scored 8.0 So I was pretty confident that was not the case. Not to mention that according to the vacancy description, the required level of English for the traineeship was Intermediate or above. I still can't wrap my head around how "successfully passed the selection process" could mean that I was still under consideration. Seemed like a ghost job cause they were spamming the same vacancy multiple times a week. Very disappointing experience.
The interview process at Andersen consisted of several stages. First, I had a short phone screening with an HR representative, where I was asked about my background, experience, and motivation for applying. After that, I was invited to an online technical interview with a senior developer. During this stage, I was asked both theoretical and practical questions related to my field (for example, coding tasks and problem-solving questions).
In the next stage, I had a soft skills interview, where I was assessed on my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Finally, there was a short meeting with the project manager to discuss potential projects and expectations. The whole process took about two weeks, and the communication was clear and professional at every stage.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the main questions they asked me was:
"Can you describe a challenging project you worked on, and how did you solve the problems you faced during that project?"
