I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Assurant in May 2015
Interview
Talent Acquisition reached out to me the day after I applied, but from there I was bounced around to two or three other people just to schedule an on-site interview. Aside from that hiccup, the on-site interview was a very positive experience, although I did not receive an offer. I interviewed with two gentlemen who treated the process casually, so I felt very comfortable in a high-stress situation. Rather than asking me questions they went through the responsibilities of the role I applied for and even suggested that I shadow an existing employee in the same role to see if I would enjoy it. From there we lost touch, my follow up emails to the talent acquisition team went unanswered.
Overall I enjoyed meeting with the hiring managers on-site, however my contact with the HR department was among the most disorganized I've ever experienced.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked questions about my resume, such as responsibilities in a previous role, and they asked what my expectations are for this role. Not a lot of direct questions due to the conversational nature of the interview.
