I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works in Oct 2012
Interview
It was pretty laid back as interviews go, but it was a group interview. Had the usual questions (tell me about yourself, why do you want to work here, what job experience have you had, how would you handle a customer who didn't want to be helped, etc)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You had to go pick out your favorite product and tell the interviewer about it. I knew this ahead of time so I was prepared for it, but just make sure that you really know something about the product that you pick. You don't have to talk for a long time, but even knowing the fragrance elements in the product is a big help.

Interview
I was interviewed at the same time as someone else. The manager asked us to choose our single favorite item in the store & bring it in to the interview. Then we were asked why we chose the item we did.
Other than that, it was the simple, "So, when are you available?" and "Can you work Black Friday?" (I was initially hired as holiday help, but ended up staying on).

Just be prepared to tell your interviewer why you love B & BW products.
