In my more than 10 years of experience applying for different positions, and going through different interview processes, this has got to be the weirdest one.
I applied through a couple of channels for some different positions in which I had prior experience. I never got a response for most of them and it has been over 30 days. I realize this is a practice in most big companies these days, not even a template rejection is being sent anymore.
However, I got a response for the Compliance Analyst role, which was the role requiring the least experience. I had an interview scheduled with Gregorio Broggi from the talent team, a 30-minute video screening, but nothing too fancy.
Half an hour before that, in the day, the event has changed to 4 days later, same time. There was no notice, no email. I reacted normally to it - they probably had too much on their plate, so ok, we will do the screening some other time.
4 days later, again, like clockwork, 30 minutes before the event the interview was moved. This time I had an email and a reason. It was an acceptable reason and considering my luck, nothing extraordinary for me. Wrong place and time and all that. The interview was scheduled for 10 days later.
The date was set for over a week ago. Being excited about the chance to develop in the world-leading crypto exchange platform and hopefully learn new things and processes, I was willing to start from the bottom once more as part of a compromise I make with my experience and seniority for my development slightly sideways.
30 minutes before the interview, I log into my Gmail, to see the log in info and prepare for it. The event is gone, no rescheduling this time and no response, notification, or anything else. I emailed the recruiter to ask if my Gmail is correct and if the interview is really off, but I had no response to it as well. Assuming my Gmail was playing tricks on me ( my phone still showed the event), I used the data from the phone to log in, but nothing happened. I still have no response, no notification and at this point, I believe they have rejected me. At least the process was fast - 3 canceled interviews in the space of 14 days and we move on.
Edit: Later during the scheduled date I received an email, saying the role has been filled and this is the reason the interview has been canceled, SIX HOURS after I was supposed to have the interview and no response was provided. After that they told me they like my experience and would consider me for other roles. However, 7 days after that I was presented with an INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE SURVEY.
Edit 2: The position is still open by the way!
