I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Oct 2009
Interview
Very long interview process:
Started off with a 1 hour test on your financial knowledge
Received a call on the following day to have the first 1:1 interview with the manager in Hong Kong
Then it was a conference call with the managers in US Headquarter
Finally a video conference with a manager in Singapore
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Singapura) in Jan 2010
Interview
Had a phone interview with HR, went through the basic fare of HR qns; understanding of the requirements of the job, understanding of the company, basic skills, run thru CV etc.
One on one interview was similar, but more in depth. Mostly fit qns, like why do I want to work for Bloomberg, what do I know abt the company, what do I know abt the position. etc. Some situational qns, like what if this happened at work, what would you do. I had a qns on a client wanting some information on data, and he's fuming, what would I do. etc.
Generally alright, but just didn't get a good vibe on the company, most friends who used to work there discouraged me from even applying. Interviews didn't seem too interested in the company, they're more interested in grilling me. Asked them what made them excited abt what they're doing, didn't get a convincing answer.
