I applied online. I interviewed at BlueRock Therapeutics (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Interviewers were fun to talk to and very receptive to questions. Great questions were asked and interviewers were genuinely curious about candidate experiences. There was a phone screening and a video call.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BlueRock Therapeutics
Interview
The process involved meeting with a TA representative to assess initial fit for the position, provide overview of benefits, outline next steps, and address questions. Once approved by the hiring manager to proceed, time for presentation and interviews with ~8 1:1 team members the candidate may work with were scheduled. The process was fine and interviewers very nice and helpful. A little lengthy, but good to meet with various teams. The process for setting up the interviews took a while. However, there was no follow up at all from TA after the interview process, which I was informed would occur within 2 days of the interviews. This was very unfortunate and gave me a poor perspective of the HR department, which is a critical department for candidate first impressions of the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions related to specifically to the position and assessed whether the candidate would be a good addition to the current team.
Very unprofessional interviewer (hiring manager), super cocky and full of himself. Didn't ask many questions, just re-enforcing the unicorn skills they're looking for. Didn't allow for questions, rushed through the process and stated he had to run to another meeting. Stated at the end that if I had any questions I need to send them to HR and HR will communicate them to him. If that's not toxic I don't know what is. Glad it didn't work out.
