I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Boomi (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2023
Interview
Applied in January. Interviewed several times in February and March. Emailed the recruiter several times to follow up on next steps. Interviewer always expressed interest and asked me to share my availability, but never actually scheduled next steps.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic interview questions about previous experience and what you’re looking for in your next role. They seems particularly interested in knowing why you want to work for them. Again, pretty basic.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boomi in Apr 2023
Interview
The interview process consists of 3 rounds, the Recruiter Call, Hiring Manager Interview, and Assessment. Overall it was okay, but there are a few red flags throughout the process:
Like stated in the other reviews - the job posting says remote but during the first call, the recruiter told me that it's 5 days in person. Both interviews with the recruiter and hiring manager have a non-traditional flow. They take one-third of the time to tell you how good Boomi is, and how they are looking for the most intelligent people to join.
The hiring manager is late to the interview (~5) without acknowledging/apologizing. The recruiter says that there will be 45 minutes for the hiring manager interview, but the interviewer left after 30 minutes. Towards the end of it, there're only 2-3 minutes for questions.
Boomi seems to be a great company with amazing products to offer. However, as a candidate, they give you little respect for your time and your efforts. They had to reschedule, and never get back to you within the time they promised. The leaders seem arrogant and it's questionable what the team culture will be like within the organization. That being said, this only represents my own experience with the company.

Question 1
Why do you think you will stand out from the rest of the applicants? What do you think differentiates Boomi from other competitors? Past sales experiences?
I applied online and spoke to an in-house recruiter. They scheduled a video interview with the hiring manager, but the person doing the scheduling got the call-in details mixed up so I sat around for 20 minutes wondering if the interviewer was a no-show. Got a "lol, my bad" reply. Not a paraphrase; actually received that very professionally worded message. O.o Spoke to hiring manager who scheduled me for a panel interview, followed by a peer interview. The panel interview was pretty terrible. I was giving a presentation, and no one but the hiring manager was even paying attention. Very rude and dismissive to spend my weekend preparing only to have the people on the panel completely disengaged and working on other things. Unbelievable. When I was done with my presentation, one person wrinkled their nose and asked me if I could present something else. Screw these clowns. Not worth it the hassle when it's nothing but red flags.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were very standard and not particularly geared to elicit any insights about the candidates. You must step up in the interview and steer the conversation in order to highlight your experiences
