I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton in Sep 2021
Interview
Step 1: Initial 30-min phone screening with HR
Step 2: Pre-screen check for clearance (as well as a target salary question (write in a phony salary to negotiate!)
Step 2.5: 1 hr 15 min video interview with team members
Step 3: (Supposedly) hear back if an offer will be extended within 48 hours.
The process was fairly straightforward, I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter and then asked for my resume to find any positions on teams who would be interested in interviewing me based on that. The recruiter screening call was on a Thursday, and heard about prospective teams the next Monday. I applied to the specific team's listing and got an interview that Wednesday, then offered the position that Friday. The interview process was very quick, and everyone was very friendly to answer all my questions. The longest time in the process would be to finalize a salary if offered the role.
