I applied online. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2020
Interview
Normal process of 3-4 weeks. There was basically just an HR round and a technical round. The technical round was all remote due to covid. They just asked standard questions, nothing too crazy. I was told there were several extraordinary candidates so they went with somebody else. The fundamental thing here is that you need a security clearance and if you don't have one, they only hire you on a contingency that you can get one. That is, you could be offered the job and then you do the paperwork for the clearance and that process could take 3 weeks to sometimes up to a year I was told by HR. Till then you can't work. I was actually encouraged to keep applying for other jobs even if I get this job because there is no guarantee that you might actually work there if you can't pass the clearance. Also, the reviews in this place is bad. This is a consultancy, so it is quite possible that if it takes a year to get your clearance by that time, a job might not even be open, that is, they may not have any projects for you. For people that work there, it seems they get laid off all the time when they can't match people to projects. From the other reviews I gather that you could work there for 10 years but then if all of sudden they can't match you to projects, you will be placed on hold or told to apply to other internal jobs or just laid off. Hardly worth it. I would not bother applying here if you don't already hold a clearance. From the interview team, I gathered the following. They are mostly all under 30, just kids basically with a typical older boss as you see so much in tech. I don't think their depth of knowledge is that great. If you are over 35, I don't think you'd really fit in there with the culture.

Question 1
Tell us about your projects and the choices you made.
I had a phone screen where I was mostly told about the internship, and then a video interview that was mostly behavioral and rather informal. My interviewer and I got along very well!
