I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton
Interview
My interaction with Booz Allen was quite odd. I had heard good things about the application process, and was referred to apply. However, shortly after submitting my application (within hours) it was declined. Coming from a talent background, I thought it strange that employee referrals would be treated that way and the employee who referred me also felt the same. We spent a few weeks trying to iron it out with the help desk but ultimately the process seemed a bit disorganized and no strong communication to the referral or the referee on the role or applicant progress.
A straightforward process which took less time than an MBB interview circuit, did not require case studies, friendly hiring team, engaging recruiter. Vague details early on about projects and fit (was going for a specialized role) that was elaborated further on as you continued in the hiring process.

Question 1
When was a technically difficult time in you career, and how did you overcome the situation?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Washington, DC) in Oct 2018
Interview
Interview with recruiter and 2 senior level data scientists. For the most part was an enjoyable experience, but my interview was moved around multiple times due to poor planning and communication.

Some personality questions, some technical questions. There was also a thought experiment that continued until I was stumped.
