I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton in Nov 2007
Interview
My interview was a very good experience. I came to the office and met with the employee who was referring me to the company. Over the course of 2 hours I met with 4 different people from the company in a one-on-one meeting in their office. I met 2 people from the cross-function team that was interested in me, one from the domain team for the project they wanted me to work, and one of the recruiters. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming and put me at ease. We didn't necessarily talk specifics of the job. We spoke more about what Booz Allen was about as a company and how I might fit into the team based on my professional background.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (McLean, VA) in Oct 2009
Interview
Booz's recruiting has never made sense. I have been referred my internall candidate many times before, and never gotten called. I'm not sure why I was this time. It started with your normal phone screen from a recruiter. She just went through my resume and asked the normal questions about salary range, availability, etc. I was contacted 2 days later to bring me in for an in-person interview.
A week and a half later I had an onsite interview with 3 individuals plus the recruiter gave us a bit of background on the company. NONE of the interviewers asked me anything that wasn't directly from my resume. They were only interested in my past projects. Nothing on leadership, project management, case studies, personality, or how I would approach a problem. Key items for a consulting candidate. NONE of the interviewers had a business card so I emailed the recruiter the same day asking for their contact info to write thank you notes, however the recruiters never got back to me.
No one contacted me by the time frame promised, so I had to follow up with the recruiters. I was very suprised not to get an offer as I thought the interviews went very well and my background would be an asset to their company. I was told my "background" didn't fit in their group - information that probably would ended my candidacy after the phone screen.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (San Antonio, TX) in Nov 2009
Interview
Interviewed by three BAH associates and the company's recruiter. My skills and experience matched with more than one of the open positions within the company. It was not a panel; morever it was an 1:1 interview with each one of them. Questions were base on resume and some basic skills knowledge. So far it looks like a great company to work for.
