The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (McLean, VA) in Jul 2009
Interview
After an employee referral, I received a call from a contracted screener. Following a pleasant conversation, I was told to expect a call from a BAH staffer to schedule an interview.
I interviewed at the McLean office about two weeks later. One other applicant and I received an overview brief by a hiring manager, then went through four 1-on-1 interviews. They were relaxed and friendly in tone. Questions were a mix of factual and behavioral.
I was told to expect a call by the end of the next week. That didn't happen. I attempted periodic contact with the hiring manager over the course of a month with no reply. Finally, I received a phone call from the hiring manager letting me know that BAH and I did not have a match at this time.
My experience with the interviews at the McLean office was very positive, but the slipshod follow through by the hiring manager was rude, and made the overall experience a negative.

Question 1
What would you do if you know your work was solid but it was not well-received by the client?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Stafford, VA) in Aug 2009
Interview
The first interview was basic - the HR contact to ensure that I was interested. The second phone interview was 45 minutes going over my background and the job description. I was flown out for a panel interview two weeks later for the same info covered on the phone. I was told that the interview was successful and the HR person would get a hold for me for further details. That was the last I heard from the entire company - several e-mails and voice mails that I left later, I finally seen the job that I was interviewing for re-posted a couple of days later. Being that this would have been a big move for me and my family, I thought it was very unprofessional that absolutely nobody returned any message to keep me posted - even if I didn't get the job!

Question 1
Describe how your background fits into this position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (McLean, VA) in Jun 2009
Interview
Had a phone interview with a HR rep after referred by employee. A hiring manager expressed interest in me. Somehow, I was then passed off to some HR screener. Interview felt more like an inquisition in terms of the questions I was being asked. I felt like I was being screened out based on certain criteria. Then the infamous behavioral based questions, which anyone can make up stories. Interview ended with "With what other firms are your interviewing?" Feedback had to be requested a week later. Response was "No matches at this time....please get back to us within a month." I asked to the effect, what exactly does that mean? Never got a response.
