I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CNN (New York, NY) in Nov 2020
Interview
Got an offer to do a HireVue Interview about 2-3 days after I applied online. Unfortunately only had 48 hours to complete it. Was told my answers would be timed, but it was clear you had time to rehearse between takes (2 max per question). Said it would take like 15 minutes but took me way longer since you only go onto the next question when you're ready. Was my first time doing a HireVue so I hated it, but prepped as much as I could within the short timeframe. Immediately upon starting it, it said CNN didn't use HireVue's AI algorithm to monitor things like facial expression, tone, or mannerisms. Wish it said that in the initial email so I didn't find out last minute and waste prep time learning about an algorithm they weren't even using.
