I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (Columbia, MD)
Interview
Excellent experience interviewing. Expectations were laid out clearly, and negotiations went quickly. Meeting staff and soon-to-be-coworkers was a pleasant and very informative process. Actually, my experience was exceptionally smooth because I worked for this man in a previous job 10 years ago, and he was ready to bring me in. That was behind a lot of it, plus the work I'd done to prepare and having had three interviews already that year with the company. Lots of groundwork laid, but in the end it wasn't all my doing.

Question 1
When can you start? I know, that's typically not what you'd expect, but for me, that was it. Like I said, they were ready to bring me in. They already knew me. Learning new material now on the job is tougher than any 'question' in the interview.
Easy process for an experienced engineer. I was asked standard questions on behavioral and of course on technical questions on semiconductor manufacturing and latest state of the art tools in the EDA space.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (Chelmsford, MA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Process started with a referral from an employee. Conducted a 2:1 phone interview with the hiring manager and principal team member. Followed up with an on-site interview with 4 other senior team members. The following day the team had a round-table wrap-up to make their hiring recommendation. The day after I received a verbal offer. Very smooth process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems in Mar 2019
Interview
The entire interview process was over the phone. Went on for a week. Received feedback by the end of the week with an offer. Negotiated over the next week to bump it up a bit. The hiring team along with the recruiter were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.
