Strung along as a backup candidate on 8 interviews for two similar Tech Management positions with different hiring managers over 2 months. Applied online > Phone Screen > Online Skills + Personality Test > Hiring Mgr > "Power Day” 4 consecutive 1 hour interviews : 2xJob Fit, 1xCase, 1xBehavioral, then Referred to different Hiring Manager, 2 more Job Fit interviews. all via Zoom/online except the first. Process was very disjointed exhausting to prepare for and complete, and full of red flags. Dealt with 10 people, most of whome were very personable despite an unfair process. First group of interviewers were not on the same page about the skills needed business vs. technical. One Senior level interviewer was totally unprepared and asked vague pointless questions. Four hour interview block with not even a minute break was brutal and disorienting. Recruiter changed halfway through the process supposedly due to a Re-Org. Initially very transparent and prompt, then long periods of silence and mixed messages. No feedback was given for decision beside “Hiring Manager wanted someone else”. Actually told me they kept me in the process in case someone else turned it down. Unbelievable. Felt like there was internal politicking and candidates in play and I was a seat filler.

Question 1
"What is your impact?"... So vague its too short for the 5 word minimum.
Long and never ending process. In my case it took 3 months. Interviews are scattered across multiple days and weeks. You talk to different people and some of them don't know what is the expectation from the can
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Capital One in May 2023
Interview
Codingsignal is used for coding assessment before any real interview is given. This is very awkward, time-consuming, and error intolerant. They messed up my uploaded pictures, one of myself, another of my driver's license. There was no warning at the beginning of my coding process to tell me that they did not receive my driver's license picture, but at the end, the next day after I submitted my solutions, I was told they could certify my result because they received two pictures of me and there was no picture of my driver's license. I cannot understand how hard to detect a driver's license picture and make sure the pictures uploaded are fine before kicking off the multiple hours coding test. The platform could be much better in this regard. Anyhow, their customer service was helpless too. So that is it. The company treats an uncertified test as a failed test.
