I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY)
Interview
I absolutely adored my recruiter, who was very attentive and kept me well informed during the process. The initial case rounds were manageable and very much fit the descriptions for what to expect. Unfortunately, the last round I was asked to describe something technically at the same level as a "technical architect," and when I was only able to describe the system design at a high level, the interviewer very visibly shut down, having written me off as a candidate.

Question 1

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One (Washington, DC) in Apr 2024
Interview
Interview process is very time consuming and is such a waste of time - Interviewers do not have a clue who are they hiring and for what role, They just are following some age old business case model structure they say they will judge you based on for your overall approach, but in reality they don't, and do get stuck on numbers. They are not interested in your real world complex problem, but are more interested in theoretical bookish answers... interviewers are just there to tick a box. The recruiters are good on initial screening but do not provide any feedback.
