I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2026
Interview
Landing the interview was easy. The interview itself was loaded with curveball questions. The Apprentice General Manager asked me about my grilling and dishwashing skills, when all the job description asked for was "A friendly, enthusiastic attitude," "Passion for helping and serving others," "Desire to learn how to cook," "Be at least 16 years old," and an "Ability to communicate in the primary language of the work location." It must be noted that there is a major mismatch between the hiring expectations of this location's General Manager and the corporate job posting. If previous experience as a line cook is preferred, then that should be listed in the job description. This type of communication deficiency in the interview is a huge red flag, and thankfully I already had another job lined up, so I passed on Chipotle.

Interview
Easy interview with simple questions. If you get hired, they contact you. If you don’t hear back, it usually means you didn’t get the job, and the process feels quick overall.
Good interview process, pretty much just asked about my previous experiences and how I would work in a team. I was offered job right after the interview ended and started onboarding pretty much right after that
