I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (New York, NY) in Apr 2014
Interview
Group Interviews are very informal. They normally take place in the restaurant. I've interviewed at 5 Chipotle locations and all started late, sometimes up to half an hour late. They ask fairly simple questions about you. You're encouraged to know the 13 characteristics of Chipotle. It helps if you appear bubbly and enthusiastic because normally only one person gets offered the job and that person is usually the most personable. They're also more inclined to hire people who want full time employment rather than part-time college students. Competition is pretty stiff.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had

Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (West Hartford, CT) in May 2026
Interview
I scheduled an interview, but when I arrived the first time the manager was not there, so I had to reschedule. At the second interview, I waited about 10–15 minutes before the manager was ready. The interview itself was short, around 10 minutes, and mostly consisted of behavioral questions read from a sheet. Overall, the process felt disorganized and not very personal, but the questions were straightforward.
