I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (San Jose, CA) in May 2015
Interview
I was interviewed twice. Once at my college's job fair by the general manager of the store, and again by a service manager and two random crew members. I was interviewed along with another potential candidate. It was generally very chill and it felt like talking to upperclassmen at school or something. Making them laugh or agree with you can go a long way. I was nervous since they mainly talked to the other candidate since he was around their age, but within three or so days after the interview I was called by the general manager with a job offer.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How would you describe yourself? (hobbies, school, etc.)
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
