I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Rockaway, NJ) in Oct 2014
Interview
You come on the first day and offer you a free drink. You then wait in a designated seat until the manager comes to interview but most of time they are not so they stall and put in an assistant manager or experienced employer. They ask you basic questions and then take you behind the counter and into the kitchen. They show different parts and how it works. They tell you to ask questions if you have any. ASK QUESTIONS! I personally couldn't think of any real questions I had because I knew the answer already. However, they really want you to to see if you have interest. Even if you don't have any real questions, make some up! Then they'll sit you down again and explain to you goals of Chipotle, History and whats expected
They'll schedule you to come in another day. You'll be interviewed by the manager. He'll question you about Chipotle history and etc. He or She will mostly ask questions how you handle stress or how enthusiastic you are. He'll then talk to employees to see if they think you'd be a good fit. Then he or she will tell you you'll get an e-mail on whether you are hired o not.
They really look for experience.

I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Reno, NV) in May 2015
Interview
it was a group interview which I had never done before..it was a bit uncomfortable because the other 6 applicants were much much younger than I (I am 54)..chipotle has a known reputation for hiring younger people(18-25)Isn't there an age discrimination law on the books??? Of course they never called me back for a second interview!!!I applied at another Chipotle we'll see what happens there!!I have been called for an interview there..scheduled for May 26..will keep you posted!!
