I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Newark, NJ) in Jan 2015
Interview
Took about 2 1/2 weeks for a response. Went in 30 minutes early but waited a lot longer for the interview to start. I was a bit nervous but the girl made me comfortable. Look up your facts about chipotle ie, founder as well as what food with integrity is. Took all of 5 to 8 minutes. SMILE SMILE SMILE !! Be friendly. If you're an introvert like me, fake it !! & practice!! Got a call back but I declined. Goodluck, you can do it !!
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Chipotle
Interview
1. Email 2. Video interview 3. In person They say to dress casually, but I would stay at least semi-formal. Be yourself. Google the "Chipotle Culture" and take notes. Employees drive the culture. Put your smile on and be honest. You do not need a traditional background, but you do need the 13 characteristics and knowledge of them. Learn the terms and the definitions.

Interview
My Interview was at 2:30 in the afternoon. Not too crowded, not too many people ordering food. I sat down with two other candidates at a table in the seating area with an employee, I'm assuming the assistant manager. The interview was very friendly, it felt casual. Felt like i knew the interviewer a little after it. She asked us each on rotation "Why Chipotle?". Then she asked us a different question each. First guy she asked how he does in school, what his academic interests were, grades, etc. He was still in high school. She asked me what my passion was in life. After these questions she asked us about the hours we could work. Then, she asked us if we had any questions for her. I asked how she started working at chipotle to get an idea for working there. After that she led us to the back office. The manager then asked us some questions, the biggest one being "What do you know about Chipotle?". After that we talked to a guy working at the register / salsa station. He also asked us why chipotle, told us how stuff worked, his experience, etc. Got to know us a bit. Had some laughs. Afterword the assistant manager told us to wait at a table for a minute or two.
After all of this. the manager pulled us aside and told us that they weren't interested at the moment. They needed people to work morning shifts during the week, but as we are both in high school, it wouldn't work. We could only work on weekends. She told us that she'll keep our applications and call us back for a second 1-on-1 interview later if a position for the weekend opened up.
