I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Port Orange, FL) in Mar 2014
Interview
I'm new to this area and looking for work, I never heard of Chipotle and I found an online advert they were hiring so I applied. Got a call couple of days later from the GM asking me to come in for an interview and to watch videos on the companies website. Being over 40 with extensive restaurant experience, I was surprised I was picked considering the company prefers young people without experience, but I thought this might be a golden opportunity. Boy was I wrong lol! Turned out to be a group of candidates for one on one interviews and I don't think anyone there was over 20 including the managers, the staff was full of tattoos and piercings. I felt more like I was backstage at a Marilyn Manson concert than a job interview, or I should say "interview" because there was no interview. About 15 minutes of job descriptions, expectations, introductions, then we were taken to tour the facilities. Then they called us individually for our one on one "interview", I was picked first and told right away I was "not Chipotle material"...I wish they had told me that before wasting 45 minutes of my time. They were training other crew members to be managers who were observing and I felt I was chosen as an example of someone not to hire. It left a very poor impression of this restaurant and company on me.

Interview
I went to the job fair and there was about ten people total including me, the manager told us how he runs the store and what he expects from a person, and also the history of Chipotle itself. We then got asked who inspired us the most and everyone had a turn, and once everyone went, the job fair was over. They told us they would be in contact within 48 hours but I never got an email or a phone call so I called them and they told me that I didn't get a second interview. It was very unprofessional to me that I waited over the time they said they'd be in contact to get nothing and to have to call to see if they declined me.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Torrance, CA) in Feb 2014
Interview
Been job hunting forever and there was an opening for an asst. manager at a chipotle. I received an invitation for an interview about a coupe weeks after I filled out an application online. So it was nice that this whole process was going through quick.
When I arrived on time for my interview, I was told to wait in the dining area due to their lunch rush. I ended up waiting for a good twenty or thirty minutes and that was very unprofessional.
Finally, I spoke with the manager and she escorted me to the back of the kitchen and I kid you not, this is where my interview was held. This just seemed unacceptable to me. I'm not only standing, but their is loud noise coming from the workers cooking and that wasn't acceptable to me.
Long story short, after answering just a few questions based on my past work experience and on my resume, and some trivia about the company, she seemed very interested and gave me a more in depth tour around the restaurant and told me to bring my ss card, and other legal documents. So I assumed I was hired. She told me to come back around this time the following day. When I came back the next day, this woman was not even scheduled to work, and I spoke with a different manager in which I was told thank you but no thank you. I was just torn.
I just wasted my time. Never eaten at chipotle and now I really won't. I see how they operate things and it's just an unprofessional attitude they have.
