I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Chipotle (La Quinta, CA) in Jul 2012
Interview
I applied at Chipotle Via E-mail in end of June and was notified with a group interview in the beginning of July. I went to the Location and was offered a cup for water. The man who was cashier told us it would be a wait for the Manager. After waiting about 30 min the manager and a fellow crew member came out, we all went outside in the patio in about 100 degree weather by where i live. I thought that wasn't very convenient since everyone was sweating, uncomfortable, and thirsty. Probably wishing to be in the cool of the store. After everyone sat down and got situated we were told that our applications could not be found in the computer files so we were told to say our name and what we are like, what we like to do in our free time and how we would be a benefit to the Company. The Kitchen Manager (at the time) brought out a Crew Member (at the time) and said that she was in training to be A Manager already. After being hired, i quickly found out that she wasn't in training for anything, she just worked her way up from FOH to BOH.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They constantly asked if I had any work experience and I was told that they only hire people who have no Experience so they can "Mold" that person into what they want, and show them the chipotle way so that any previous experience wouldn't be compared that I personally think chipotle cannot run things very well. It needs a lot of work.

Interview
I posted a review previously and fortunately I received a call! My second Interview was on a Monday right after school. I arrived 15 minutes early, as you should. As I predicted, the other girl that was in my group was there. There was another group interview going on when I arrived, which the Restauranteur led. A guy from my group was also there yet the other one was not. So the Apprentice interviewed me and the Restauranteur sat down for a little while and listened. He also added in a few tidbits here and there. Basically, like all second interviews this one was more so focused on who I am as a person and was therefore more in depth. I believe he asked me multiple personality questions and being that I am still in High School, how I would be able to juggle both school and work. At the end, I asked why he liked Chipotle, flipped the script a little. We laughed a bit, made jokes- overall it went well. At the end him and the Restauranteur said that I would get a call by Friday at the latest. At the end of the week I did not receive a call and so called to check on my status. The reply was that they were still making decisions. After two more weeks of this and a little doubt, I received a call..that I missed. When I went to call back for the final time, I noticed their number matched the one that called me the day before and I freaked out. So I called back and the Apprentice answered and said that they wanted to extend me an offer!! I was so happy. Then I had to fill out a few forms online, all general preliminary stuff. I go back on Monday to schedule my hours! I am so happy to finally have a job, especially one that I actually look forward to working at. I made a joke with my friends that I would be the only employee smiling while I clean up other people's mess. If you're thinking about working at Chipotle or any job for that matter, give it a shot! Market yourself and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. You might end up getting a job that'll become your lifetime profession. Good luck and don't doubt yourself!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"3-5 words in which your best friend would describe you" "3-5 words in which your mom would describe you and why" "how I manage my time" "do I mind cleaning other people's messes?", "how would I react to a younger employee telling me how to do my job?", "if I had a magic wand, what station would I choose to first work at?", "how would I react to a customer complaining about me giving them too little rice?" For this one I said I would keep my cool and kindly reply that if he/she wanted more, they could simply order a double. Also, that if they persisted to be rude, I would simply call the manager.

Interview
I applied online and got a response rather quickly through email, with a date for an interview at the location. I dressed the best i could and appeared for the first interview, my first thoughts were, it was a bit unorganized, i have no idea how they could tell the difference between people coming for the interview or customers because we just sat at the tables and waited for an employee to call us over. sooner or later my chance came and I was asked all the questions i had read off Glassdoor which i had studied for and overall it went smoothly, right away I got my new date for the next interview. Unfortunately when i arrived for the second interview, early in the morning, it wasn't until i had came to the door and knocked, they told me the interview was rescheduled for next week at even earlier time. This really had me upset because i felt a email or at least a call could have been sent out ahead of time. No matter, i arrived to the new date, which was a group interview, right off the bat they asked us to tell them about ourselves, my first response was may age, which i was 17 at the time, and it wasn't until this point, they told me i had to be 18 to work at their restaurant. I WAS BEYOND UPSET!!!!! i put my exact date on the application and nothing before hand told me the age requirement, and to top it off, they forced me to finish the interview.....never again....I will continue to eat the food because it's freaking amazing but I will NEVER apply here EVER!
