I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cisco (New York, NY)
Interview
Applied through college recruitment. First there was a writting exam of techinal terms and a small interview of 15 minutes. One month later I had two assessment days where I had more interviews, a laboratory challenge, english exams, chat with managers and senior engineers, and they want to know how do you work in team. The assessment day last 8 hours and food was provided.

Question 1
What is the difference between a router and switch?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco (Kraków) in Mar 2016
Interview
Interview for this joob consisted of 4 steps:
1) Screening by HR agent - nothing specific there, but he said what the salary for this position would be right from the beginning and asked if it was fine with me
2) Video-call interview with engineer. He asked a number of technical questions (see section below). Most of them were CCNA level, no more than that. Just basic understanding
3) Troubleshooting session: a group of engineers set up a video call and mocked a problem with their setup (phones were not registering to CUCM). I was allowed to ask questions and try different workarounds in this simulation. The answer was quite easy (DHCP pool reconfiguration on router)
4) Interview with future management: usual questions like "Why are you looking for a job"/"How do you see yourself in 5 years".
I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco in Oct 2017
Interview
The whole interview process took around 4 to 5 weeks and the number of interviews was 3. The first one was a phone interview with an internal recruiter and it was basically a discussion about my background, future plans etc. The interview took around half an hour. The second interview was with the hiring manager, took 45 minutes and Cisco WebEX was used. The questions were mostly focused on my previous working experience. Additionally, there were a number of questions on how to solve customer issues the best way possible and so on. The third one was a technical interview again with WebEX and took an hour. We spend 40 minutes only with technical questions and the rest was more about how to solve complex issues, how can you handle an angry customer etc. For the technical interview you need to be prepared. Knowledge of Cisco products and CCNA/CCNP is a plus.
