I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me about 20 days after I applied. I had a total of three interviews: one over the phone and two over WebEx. During the phone interview, the recruiter explained the role, benefits, etc. The first WebEx interview, week after phone interview with recruiter, was with the hiring manager who mostly explained the role and asked about my interests. A week after the interview with the hiring manager, the recruiter contacted to move forward with a technical interview with a with a team of 4 engineers (at once) and ~30 minutes long over WebEx. They mostly went over the resume. Two weeks later, recruiter reached out saying that I got the job. From initial email by the recruiter to the offer letter, the process lasted about 5 weeks.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cisco (La Jolla, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied via my school's job portal. They were having on campus interviews so I thought it was a good chance. I, unfortunately, did not know that they would ask me to draw logic gates from their truth tables and didn't refresh on it. It was not that difficult since it was an intern position I was applying for. He asked questions about logic gates and drawing their circuits. There were also many questions about projects I'm doing, but I wasn't able to draw the schematics since that wasn't something I'd committed to memory.
Two round, first one, meet with the manager. Second round meet with group members. My boss is nice. They asked some questions about the resume, but not too much. And some basic questions. I guess they want to know how do you think when you have a problem.
