I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco in Oct 2012
Interview
I submitted my resume to a recruiter at a career event at my school and was told immediately that I should schedule an interview. My interview took place the very next day, and it was a very straightforward process. My recruiter and my interviewer were both very nice and really helpful. Interview consisted of a few brainteasers, some analytical questions, and some personality based. Got an offer in 1.5 weeks.

Interview
Applied through campus careers service. Attended the interview in Cisco Galway. Interview process was fine. Only gave me one coding problem. Asked alot of technical questions most of which were on my CV. There was 2 seperate Interviews with 2 interviewers in each. Both lasted 45 mins with time at the end for any questions I had. Very friendly and laid back I felt. If you are going for this Interview I would recommend you know your CV and the details of everything on it. The only real curve balls thrown at me were questions about Design patterns and one on server side JavaScript (neither of which i mentioned on my CV) Other technical questions included things like general networking questions (IP Stack, TCP and UDP ...) There was a question about threads and some linux commands, nothing too strenuous. Overall it was fine, in the end i didnt get the place and was told by the HR person I was very close but i was vetoed by one of the Interviewers (which i found ever her telling me quite strange) Overall good experience as it did help me feel alot more comfortable with later interviews. One final thing, remember to as
