Question 1
Explain a difficult challenge you faced while working on a project, how you overcame it, and what you learned.
I have joined company through campus recruitment. Two interviews were scheduled on same day. One was Technical round and the other was HR round. Results of the interview were announced on same day in the evening.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Dell Technologies in Dec 2024
Interview
Had my interview Dec 9th, then got the classic holiday pause email. Fine, totally get it - everyone needs a break. But then January rolls around, and it turned into this weird game of 'we'll tell you next week' that kept stretching on and on. Finally got the 'thanks but no thanks' email on January 22nd - like 6 WEEKS after my interview.
The Actual:
Initial recruiter was genuinely communicative when possible
They at least tried to keep candidates in the loop
Dragged me along for 6+ weeks just to say no
Kept promising updates that never came when they said they would
The whole process felt disorganized
Bottom line: Dell is a big company and yeah, things move slow, but stringing candidates along for 1.5 months ain't it. If you're interviewing here, just know you might need the patience of a saint. And maybe don't put your job search on hold waiting for them.
Advice to Dell: Either speed up your process or be upfront about how long it actually takes. 6 weeks to say 'no' is rough on candidates who are actively job hunting."
