I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Szeged, Csongrád) in Apr 2015
Interview
The company contacted me thru LinkedIn that they would like to invite for a "tour through the office".
The interview process had 3 parts:
- At first, a personal (HR) interview, they said the origins and the possibilities in the company, also the advancement and benefit process, and we talked through my CV and they checked me spontaneously for my spoken english skills.
-The second part was a very well engineered online test to measure the programming capabilities of the applicant
-The third was an interview with the chief of the "bench" and another software developers from the company, where we talked through my CV again from a more professional viewpoint, and there were a couple of questions and task on programming.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to write an algorythm on a whiteboard to solve the coin change problem (use the least coins possible to pay) and i had to walk with them through my code and work out the different ways it could have been done.
I also got UML diagrams on paper and i had to briefly tell them what the diagram was about, and there were some basic questions on databases as well.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Minsk) in Oct 2012
Interview
That was some years ago, I was looking for my first IT job.
I downloaded CV form from company's site and sent the filled copy to HRs. After a few days manager called me by phone, she asked me why I want ot work in Epam, which knowledges I have. She also asked me about my knowledge of English (my native language is Russian), we talked about 15 minutes in English and then she said that we can meet in their office.
But before that I received a test task by email that I did before onsite interview.
On the onsite interview there was a technical expert as well. I described my homework, answered her technical questions, listened about their department and projects.
As the final task HR gave me English grammar test.
Since 2 days they sent me an email and said that my homework is very good, but it's good to improve my English talking skill before they can offer me that job. So they declined my application.
P.S. Funny, but when I met later with one of juniors' trainers, he was very sad that a lot of his junior programmers know nothing about OOP.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Szeged, Szeged) in Mar 2016
Interview
First, I had to take an online test with Java programming exercises, which went well so I was invited to an HR interview. I was with two other candidates. We were told about the company, then, there was a 1-1 interview: short introduction, checking my English.
A week later I was invited to a technical interview, where two experts tested my Java and software designing knowledge, I also had to talk about my earlier job.
In the last round I met a resource manager. It was a last check, we talked about general things. On the same day I got an offer through a phone call, I had some days to think it over. Finally, I accepted the offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
On the technical interview I had one bigger exercise: I had to write a method. The input was an array with integers and I had to return another array with a given condition.
