I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at EPO (A Haia) in Jan 2013
Interview
I received an e-mail to schedule a skype interview. I spoke with HR and my future boss. There was immediate connection. The interview took about one hour and the day after I received an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical questions about the field I was going to work for. Personal question about my previous experiences and background.
The process is well organised. The interviewees are called to pass an exam. In this case, we were required to draft a casenote in one hour. The interview itself takes place with a panel composed by a member of the legal service, someone from their human resources department and a representative of the personnel. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the questions relating to the exam can be specific. The interview also take place in the three languages of the Office. The result of the process is announced within two weeks. At the time of writing, I do not know if I will receive an offer or not.

Question 1
What would be the biggest challenge in joining EPO?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EPO (München, Bavaria)
Interview
I was flown to Munchen and was met with a senior manager, another manager and a patent examiner. The interview was conducted in English and partly in French, but my German was verified, too (which is not really good). I was applying for Software Patent Examiner role and I wasn't prepared for questions related to digital circuits. They could've used the phone to clear that up.

Question 1
I was given a patent with a digital circuit schema. I was supposed to figure it out and describe what it was about.
