I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jun 2025
Interview
Pre assessment was long but not hard, interesting test on language concepts and some typical coding questions
Phone interview asked typical questions like what projects I'm interested in, what challenges I've faced in them, what about epic stands out to you, etc. Interviewer was pretty nice, overall good experience
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What interests you at epic, what would you like to work on
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Winona, MN) in Sep 2025
Interview
After the application, there is an automatic 2-3 hour assessment, followed by a 45-minute info session, and then a final round of both behavioral and technical questions. The assessment is monitored, and the coding sections do not have test cases. It is way too much work to just be handing out automatically as the first step in the application process.
The interview process was a recruiter screen/role introduction call followed up by a skills assessment. The skills assessment took roughly 3 hours. It was a mix of logic, math, and coding problems.
