I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Buffalo, NY) in Jan 2016
Interview
I applied online, within hours i had confirmation that my application was received. Then within two days of my application, I was offered a phone interview. The day of the phone interview, I was offered to take a skills assessment and scheduled it for within the week. The skills assessment was fairly easy (for my intermediate knowledge of coding and logic). Although I will not be continuing to interview for this position, I was offered an interview onsite for an alternative position that may fit me better.
Phone screen, online skills assessment, onsite interview. The phone interview was very informal and was an enjoyable conversation with a current employee. The skills assessment was more difficult than expected, but if you have taken CS courses at school or have any background, all of the material should be familiar. The biggest hiccup there was simply navigating the online proctoring system. Onsite interview was intimidating, as you meet with a lot of people, but to be expected with the time taken to fly you out!
