I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Epic in Dec 2011
Interview
After I applied this company through CareerBuild.com, I got an email after several days just one day before Christmas. An HR staff ask me to move forward, and choose some time slot in next five days. I gave him the time slot I prefer to have phone interview right after I got the email. I didn't receive any confirmation till the schedule time. However, I still decide to wait for the phone interview at that time. Then after one hour, I received an email from another HR, he told me the HR contacted me before is on vacation this week, and he would like to schedule another phone interview for me in next Friday, and gave me the time slot to choose. I decide not to move forward. I have interview several other companies with different scale, but never had this situation before. This company is not professional at all.
The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Dec 2011
Interview
Interview started in October when Epic HR sent a personality (Rembrandt) test... They then sent an email about a week or two later and asked me to do a phone interview. The phone interview was a little awkward... HF scheduled the phone interview at 10 AM Eastern, they called at 11 AM (probably because they are in a central time zone). Despite the lateness, the phone interview ensued.
Two weeks later they called and asked me to take a test at a nearby library.
The test is half math--half programming. I have zero knowledge of programming... good luck people.
Epic receives approx 120,000 resumes, and takes less than 1 percent.
Encouraging? lol
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Nov 2011
Interview
First an easy phone screen, verifying education background and average time spent on programming every week. After that a skill test at a local Pearson test center. I suppose an on-site will follow the skill test, but I failed the skill test. Overall the experience is good, and HR has been helpful.
