I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Aug 2011
Interview
All communication was very delayed and behind schedule than what they told me it would be during the process. I've heard that they interview approx. 100 candidates per month for various positions and you can definitely tell. At no point was anyone personal, they ask the same questions to everyone, give the same tours, same skills tests, etc. When I tried to elaborate during the 1:1 interview, I could tell that the interviewer didn't actually care as I'd already answered the question they were looking for or NOT looking for. I'm sure it's a great place to work for many people but I could tell it was not the environment for me. They have a huge turnover rate and now I understand why.

On projects in teams, do you tend to lead or follow?
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Oct 2011
Interview
EPIC is a great company to work for, but it's not for everyone.....If you're currently an undergrad and want to have a fun, fast start to your career (and don't mind living in Madison, WI) I'd highly recommend this company. The interview process won't seem strange at all if you're very inexperienced, as it will most likely be one of your first interview experiences.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Oct 2011
Interview
After applying, I was sent a personality test to take in a timed period. I must have done well on the personality test, so they had someone call me and do a phone screen. The person on the phone asked really basic questions - basically want to see if you are normal and can speak properly on the phone. Thereafter I received an email to come to the site in Wisconsin. They flew me out, kept us in a really nice hotel and then took us to dinner at night. The dinner is optional. Its pretty nice to meet the other candidates and ask questions to the Epic employee that comes with you, however it wasn't necessary. The next day was a full day event on the Epic site. We get a tour of the facility and of their software. Afterwards we had lunch and then a case interview. After the case interview I gave my presentation and had a one on one. After the one on one, I completed the day with three exams (logic/programming, verbal, math). I would be prepared for any questions they ask and just feel comfortable. Everyone else pretty much covers the questions asked. I reviewed those questions that really helped.
