The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jul 2009
Interview
The interview was a 3 step process 1) Phone interview with Software Developer - he described the work at Epic, the Epic culture and asked me some behavioral questions, also asked questions on resume. 2) After the 1st round is successful, they would ask you to take a programming test at your local city. They would send in the questionaire and you just need to go to the suggested place and give the test. Its totally programming , I guess there were 5 questions (not that difficult), one must time himself and try to get the correct solution for them in approx 1.5 hrs. 3) If successful then there is an on-site interview and EPIC sponsors all the travel and itinerary, that's the best part. It consists of 1:1 with a manager where you describe a project of your choice, then meeting some of the experienced people to get to know more about Epic. Lastly there is IQ test and logic test questionaire.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Jan 2010
Interview
Very personality based interview. Will ask you little, if any, about your previous work experience or anything on your resume. Applicants are required to make a ten minute presentation on a topic of their choice, and they are evaluated and the clarity and organization of the presentation. This part is a big deal in my opinion. Also has a case study component.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Jan 2010
Interview
An initial phone screen conducted by a software developer, obviously he didn't look at your resume and asked general questions to collect information about you. After that, you are arranged a skilltest to be taken at a local place, which consists of 5 programming questions, these can be found here or at careercup. Then they invited you to Madison to have an onsite interview, which consists of a person-to-person interview explaining one of your projects and other IQ test/ easy programming test. They collected your transcripts and references. Then you are done.
